February 22nd - Saturday - SGMFC Monthly Meeting / Chili Cook-off

Meeting will be held in the clubhouse at Carillon at Cambridge Lakes, 1865 Andrew Dr, Pingree Grove.  Feel free to bring your favorite Chili or Soup to share…and maybe a power strip.  Entries will be judged by all with awards, prizes or just a firm handshake given out to the winners.  Don’t have a favorite chili/soup to bring?  No worries, bring some crackers, appetizers, munchies or sweets.

March 15th - Saturday – Durty Nellie’s St. Pat’s Parade in Palatine

April 12th - Saturday - SGMFC Monthly Meeting / Show-n-Shine

Meeting will be held at Moretti's Ristorante & Pizzeria, 164 US-12, Fox Lake (847-973-1800).  We will have a Show-n-Shine at 2:00pm (weather permitting) with the dinner/social time from 3:00-4:00pm and our general meeting to follow.

August 3rd – Sunday – Glory Bound Rescue Ranch 4th Annual Car Show

All makes & model show (cars, bikes, trucks, tractors, bicycles, etc).  Show is held at Kishwaukee Brewing Co, 1900 Dillard Court, Woodstock, IL.  Registration is $15, spectators are free.  Awards, goody bags, local craft & direct sales vendors, music, food & drinks, raffles & 50/50, enough room for more than 200 vehicles.  Bring an unopened bag of Pedigree Dog Food and receive 2 raffle tickets for any basket on the table.  ALL proceeds go to Glory Bound Rescue Ranch (501c3)!  For more information contact stallions.gate@yahoo.com or visit Glory Bound Rescue Ranch.

August 23rd – Saturday – 12^th Annual Friendly Ford Car Show

August 30th – Saturday – Buffalo Grove Days Parade

Parade meetup will be at 10:00am at the McDonald’s & Shell gas station, 1200 N. September 6th – Saturday – 75th Illinois Secretary of State Vehicle Show

The event will be held at the State Capitol Complex at the corner of Edwards and College Streets in downtown Springfield. Show pre-registration is ‘strongly recommended’ to guarantee you can get into the show!  Entry starts at 7:00am, judging starts at 11:00am and award ceremony at 3:30pm.

If you are planning on staying the weekend, hotel reservations can be made at: President Abraham Lincoln Springfield - a Double Tree by Hilton.  The reservation is a two-night stay starting Friday September 5th thru Sunday September 7th.  The cost for the 2-night stay is $119.00 + tax per night.  We currently have 10 rooms reserved for the 2 nights and you must register by August 14th.  For more information contact stallions.gate@yahoo.com.
